    Everhart began his undergraduate studies at the Yale University School of Art and Architecture in 1970. In 1972, he participated in an independent study program under Earl Hoffman at St. Mary's College. He returned to Yale in 1974, completing his graduate work in 1976, followed by post-graduate studies at the Musée de l'Orangerie in Paris.

    Meeting Charles M. Schulz

    In 1980, while working as a freelance illustrator, Everhart was introduced to Charles M. Schulz. This meeting marked the beginning of a unique collaboration. Everhart was captivated by Schulz's expressive line work and began creating renderings of "Peanuts" characters. Impressed by Everhart's ability to capture the essence of his characters, Schulz authorized him to produce fine art featuring the "Peanuts" gang.
